MEGA Fashion Crew

Couldn't get enough Gen M?

Backstage is the new Front stage
MEGA, the Philippines' best fashion magazine, launches the
second season of Gen M

From the success of Mega Publishing Group’s initial venture into television comes yet another exciting offering called MEGA Fashion Crew. "Life here in MEGA has been a constant search for these people," shares Sari Yap, editor in chief of MEGA magazine. Thus, in the same line, the show is dedicated to finding the individuals who will make it big in the fashion industry. With a total of 60 hopefuls, MEGA Fashion Crew Gen M Season 2 aims to find the next top photographer, fashion stylist, make-up artist, hair stylist and female model. During each episode five members will be grouped as a fashion crew, and they will have to execute a fashion shoot. As Executive Group Creative Director Suki Salvador says, "Backstage is the new front stage" and this show aims to offer a unique peek into the fashion industry.

Experience the drama over 13 weeks as contestants go through a grueling series of shoots where MEGA Publishing Group’s executive creative director Suki Salvador and MEGA Magazine’s publisher and deputy editor Meryll Yan act as mentors for the season. To further the challenge, at the end of each show, fashion crews will be judged by top personalities in each discipline. Together with Ms. Yap, celebrity fashion designer Avel Bacudio and top model Raya Mananquil round up the resident panel. “Aside from fabulous items and cash prize of Php100,000 each, a promising career awaits the winning individuals. The five winners will also have the chance to work with the MEGA editorial team for a fashion editorial,” says Ms. Yan.

MEGA Magazine invites you to witness yet another milestone in the publishing-television industry. MEGA Fashion Crew Gen M Season 2 airs every Saturday nights at 7:00pm, starting July 30, 2011 on ETC. Pilipinas Football Jerseys

Recently, football has sparked a HUGE trend in the beautiful Manila. Aka the "Rebirth of Football."It's really great seeing how everyone gathers together to watch, play or simply experience the sport. While doing all that, why not stay in style? A good friend of mine has just started his own line of football jerseys, and you should definitely check it out!
"Designed and inspired by the rebirth of football in the Philippines, this jersey embodies the love for our country and the game. Made for the fans and footballers in mind, the design is influenced by the colors of our nation’s flag. It features a diagonal stripe across and rubberized details on the sleeve. Proudly present at the back is our homeland written in our native tongue. Finally, the crest that rests above the heart is inspired by our nation’s coat of arms. All these elements make up for a jersey that is sleek, modern and nationalistic. Designed to look good on or off the field, it is ready to be worn by die-hard Filipino fans all over."

Accessory Therapy

This weekend was a blast! To start things off, I finally went out last friday. To summarize friday, I went to a friend's birthday dinner, and right after hopped all the way to Fiamma Fresh Fridays. Then saturday, I went to the almost fully renovated SM Southmall for a little retail therapy. Same goes for today, plus I finally watched Prom! I must say the movie made me miss high school a little bit! I recommend you guys see it and hopefully reminisce! ;)

I DIE
I've mentioned I did a little shopping, so I wanna show you guys some of my finds! I visited various stores on a mission to add new pieces(clothing) to my closet, but instead shopped for my BIGGEST weakness. Which is simply accessories.

Just G: Baby Doll cream ring, No. 8 Perfume bottle necklace, Baby Doll pink ring, Peter Pan Collar necklace.

Just G was the first store I payed a visit to this weekend. I automatically also remembered reading Tricia Gosingtian's blog. As I walked in I instantly fell in love, and can I say went a bit crazy. The accessories were just BUH-NANAS. If you're in to all things dainty and fairy tale inspired, then trust me you will go crazy. I know I did. I even thought the price would be quite expensive, but OW EM accessories range from 49-399. I actually got pieces same a Tricia G. The doll ring and the peter pan necklace. Fell in love with it upon reading her blog. 100% satisfied with my loot! Definitely paying Just G another visit real soon!

Forever 21: Pins and color scheme bangles

Forever 21 was quite blah this week, but I did find some interesting stuff. Especially the buttons, upon seeing it I knew exactly what to do with it. (Picture at end of post)

Folded & Hung: Leather cuff, Random Store: LOVE connector ring, SM: Cap

Close ups!
How I wore the Forever 21 pins!

Hope you guys enjoyed reading this post!

One of my favorite quotes, as Rachel Zoe would say "The Perfect accessory can make the difference between looking blah and totally to die for."

School Uniform

Outfit post! I wore this last week to school, and I actually felt proud that I was able to wear something colorful. I've noticed I usually stick to blacks, whites, grays and denims. Its been my comfort zone and go to colors. This is actually the first time I've tried color-blocking, and hopefully it came out well! One things for sure though according to my friends, I looked completely different and I should try out more looks similar to this. I decided to name the title of this post School Uniform because of the colors I wore. I basically wore school colors and it became very ironic. La Salle green for the jacket, Ateneo blue for the shirt, UST for the shorts and SoFA pink for my bracelet! hahaha School pride lang! chekka.

I actually used this as a peg for this look
What I Wore: La Salle letterman cardigan(my brother's), Valera shirt, Forever 21 shorts, Lemondrops shoes, Accessories from Forever 21 & OS, Readers from Pop Culture

Special special special special thanks to my most beautiful beshie Patricia Prieto for taking my outfit posts weekly!

I've been meaning to write a major post on two beautiful things I watched. I mentioned this on my past entry, but in short both were theatrical. Lets just call it the Gypsy Cirque Experience. ;)

To end this entry I leave you the song that inspired this entry! I've missed this song and this band! Listen to them, and it might make you wanna sing with a hair brush! How I missed high school cause of this song!

The Werewolf Chapter

Another outfit post! This look was taken two or three weeks ago. I decided to title it "The Werewolf Chapter" mainly because I've been hooked to The Vampire Diaries. There's just something about this show that makes me wanna believe that there are vampires and etc out there. Weird side of me, yes. I am actually much more "compelled" to this than Twilight. Basically, cause it's much more bad ass and to me fleshes out what a vampire is or can be. I seriously cannot wait anymore for season 3, the suspense is literally killing me. To be completely honest, I am much more excited to see what happens to Tyler and Caroline. My new favorite couple. I'm thinking if I should re-start the series again to help feed my craving for season 3! Obsessed lang. chekka lang.
What I Wore: Forever 21 tribal top, L.E.I. denim shorts, Converse gold sneakers, accessories from Forever 21 & Topman

BTW, if you're wondering about the wolf's head my tribute to Tyler from the show. Nicole and Jezl if you read this, alam nyo na!

See I just couldn't help post a photo of Tyler and Caroline. My favorite photo of them! GTFO Bella and Jacob!
