Hang Ten Flagship Store Launch

Last week, I was invited to the flagship store opening of Hang Ten. It wasn't just their store, but it was the main/flagship branch. I'm sure most you guys have known this brand since forever. I know I do, especially the golden feet. This event took place last week September 23, 2011 at the SM Mall of Asia. I have to say the event was great since they had cocktails, performances and a fashion show showcasing their newest collection. Here are the photos I took from the event + an outfit shot!

Benchanting

Ok, disregard my last entry for a bit. My blog really is under renovation. meganon.

About a month or 2 ago, I joined a contest by Bench on Facebook. The contest was called "Philippines in 5 Words," so you basically have to tell them in 5 words how the Philippines should be branded.(see poster above) The prizes at stake were 5k worth of GCs and the best part of this competition is that the top 10 answers chosen will be made into a collection of shirts. Great right?!? Imagine having your words on a Bench t-shirt! Plus, you get to show your love for your country!

This morning, the first thing I saw on facebook was that I was part of the Top 10! GOOD MORNING! :)

My 5 words on how the Philippines should be branded:

Brave

Enchanting

Nationalistic

Courageous

Heroic

Check out the other winning answers! Congrats to all the winners! :)

I am beyond excited to see how this will be made into a statement shirt!

SHOPPING

Now onto to the shopping part! I have been craving for retail therapy for the longesttttt time, so I decided to pick up my prize from Suyen and hit the closest Bench which was in MOA.

Purchases:

One thing I love about Bench is their knits. Absolutely soft and easy to wear! Perfect for those lazy days!

My fave purchase! Another knit top! I just love the texture and color! Its a dark shade of aqua/turquoise, but it still seems vibrant to me! Another one for those lazy days! I can just see the abuse this top is gonna get! Like this thursday for All Time Low! ;)

M Barretto x Bench shorts! I just love his collection! Subtle details and colors. I love the pockets on these shorts! Its quite hard to actually see on this photo, but upon wearing it the pockets are just LOVE. Another item, that I can just imagine the abuse its gonna get! :)

PANTS!!! Got these both from M Barretto's Collection, in love with the fit and details! Got this on my 2nd trip to Bench. Exchanged the knit black top I posted and changed it to the track pants with patch details! The one above is a pair of Carrot fit pants! I've been having the most difficult time finding a pair of pants like these!

Got another top! Again from M Barretto's collection! I am officially hooked! I just love the sleeves of this shirt!

I have always loved Bench scents! I've been using them for the longest of time (ever since I was a kid). Personal favorites of mine would be Stunning by Kim Chiu and Bench Baby in Bubblegum (pink). I just can't help the whole bagong ligo smell! I got these 2 for my mom and brother! I actually love Kris Aquino's Baby Girl Love, it reminds me of Gendarme(one of my most favorite scents!). I got my brother the counter part of my fave Bench scent Adored by Gerald Anderson.

I bought more stuff, but sadly I do not wanna post em' cause they're undergarments! ;)

I would just like to give Bench a BIG BIG BIG THANK YOU for choosing my 5 words! Again I am beyond excited how it will appear on a shirt. Just thinking about how your words will be on a Bench T-shirt is too FAB! IDIE.

Thats all for now for this entry! Back to fixing my blog layout!!!

MEGA Fashion Crew Ep 7 - The Challengers Take it out on the Runway

Have you guys been watching Mega Fashion Crew??? Well, if you are things are about to even more interesting!

The remaining challengers took it out on the runway in Episode 7 of Gen M Season 2: MEGA Fashion Crew on Saturday.

For this week’s challenge, the contestants became part of a fashion show, sponsored by SM Ladies Fashion, which was stage-directed by no less than top fashion show director, Robbie Carmona. “The runway will be your playground. This will be the fashion show that will decide if you are really worthy to be part of MEGA’s Top Fashion Crew,” said Mega Publishing Group Executive Creative Director Suki Salvador to the contestants.

It may have just as well sealed their fate. It taught the contenders how tough it is to stage a fashion show in terms of makeup, fashion and hair styling, modeling, and photography. Interestingly, the runway challenge was just the first of two more challenges.

Aside from Carmona, SM Department Store’s Ladies Fashion Merchandising Division Head Pia Abad joined resident judges MEGA EIC Sari Yap, top fashion model Raya Mananquil, and top fashion designer Avel Bacudio in choosing the 25 challengers who will go on in the search for the MEGA Fashion Crew. Jocas De Leon, Brand Manager for SM Ladies Wear, also be sat in as a guest mentor together with Maybelline’s Archie Tolentino, L’Oreal Paris Philippines’ Borge Aloba, MEGA Deputy Editor Meryll Yan, and Salvador.

Catch Generation MEGA Season 2: MEGA Fashion Crew every Saturday 7pm, with replays on Sundays, 10am only on ETC.

MEGA Fashion Crew Gen M Season 2 is created for television by the MEGA Publishing Group.

Red-emption Day

I superrrrrrrrrrrrrr apologize for neglecting my blog for about 3 weeks! I've been swarmed with projects, assignments and the most dreaded FINALS. I actually have to keep this entry short since, word and key note are calling my name to finish what I started. For this entry, I have with me an outfit post! Wore this 2-3 weeks ago? I forget. For this look, I decided to go for something casual yet edgy. I threw on currently one of my favorite jackets, a chain harness for that edgy vibe and oversized wayfarer inspired shades.

What I Wore: Penshoppe jacket, Forever 21 shirt, shades, chain harness, SM Dept. Store jeans

If you guys noticed, I'm wearing the jacket Mario Maurer wore to his Penshoppe interview. If you guys haven't heard (i'm sure you all have) he's visiting Manila real real soon! ;) Anyways, I've been a fan, since I first watched his movie The Love of Siam thanks to a friend! Actually Siam is my ulitmate FAVORITE Mario movie! You guys should see it and definitely have a box of kleenex beside you!

Enough of the typing for now! I'm actually shocked I was able to finish a blog entry in the middle of this chaos! char I hope you guys actually understood anything I've written for this entry, cause honestly I don't think it made sense! Just stare at Mario instead! chos
