The Everyday Bag

Time for another entry!!! Recently, I've been visiting Folded & Hung. Their designs have always been fashion forward. Especially after PFW. Once I was able to find a pair of drop crotch shorts. Then the Givenchy inspired headband. Then recently, I found a bag! I actually saw it the day I purchased the headband. I knew I had to get it! The bag is pretty simple, black, silver and has a matte leather-ish feel. The beautiful/fierce part is that it has a strap that has... spikes! It basically is an alternative to me. It's similar to the Givenchy Nightingale bag! I crowned it as my new everyday bag. The type you could just put your stuff in and go. No need to match it with any outfit! Plus, my bag organizer fits in the bag perfectly! F & H for sure will get a lot of visits from me now that it's Christmas. The wallets are out! Their accessories to clothing are simply LOVE! Plus it's very wallet friendly!

The bag actually looks like the Givenchy Nightingale came to hook up with the Alexander Wang's Coco duffel bag.

The Dream/Fairytale Come True
I'm sure some of you heard Taylor Swift's concert here in Manila. This isn't fashion related or anything, but I just can't express how excited I am for this concert. I've been waiting for her to come here ever since. I've been listening to her music since day 1. From teardrops on my guitar to tied to together with a smile to love story to mine. There's just something about her music that could have made things different in high school. If it wasn't for her I'd probably be lost. Cheeseball grater much I have to express the excitement for this!!! News reports though say that it was sold out. Hearing this made me panic, so I decided to get the affordable tickets first! I'm still waiting for the lower box seats to go on sale, so I'm crossing my fingers and praying!!! I can seriously see myself on that day!!!

I guess and hope I'll see some of you guys then! Still a few more months to go though, but let's all get ready for a magical night/fairytale, no matter what seat/location we are in the coliseum!!! :)

Will hopefully feature the next SoFA fashion thursday on my next entry!!! Animal prints here weee goooo!!!!

Get The Look 1

As promised, I was gonna post a get the look entry. I compiled some looks using polyvore inspired by the last entry. Since the theme was rocker chic, you'll be seeing a LOT of blacks. The set of looks you'll be seeing are inspired by the last entry. Plus a look inspired by Effy Stonem from Skins!

Now I won't expound on the style or inspiration for each look. I think most of it speaks for itself. I'll try to post an entry like this every week for every Fashion Thursday. Looks I like and an inspiration.

The Inner Momsen

Study like a Rockstar was SoFA's weekly fashion thursday's theme. Honestly, this would have to be one of my favorite themes for a fashion thursday so far. A lot came in black(obviously), studs, crosses, spikes and etc. It's like everybody burst of Jenny Humphrey/Taylor Momsen and Kate Lanphear. I was able to pick a couple of looks that I loveddd. My look was definitely inspired by Elle's Style Director Kate Lanphear and Effy Stonem from Skins. I have always enjoyed how they stacked their bracelets and had a simple ensemble(kate) to go with it. Plus the trends they set isn't as expensive to follow. You could just go to Pop Culture, and automatically morph your wrists into Kate or Effy. From bangles to studs to jelly bands. Rings would be a nice addition too. Basically it was all black, silver and a touch of old gold.

My Inspiration

Favorite Looks:
Nicky Roa
Wore: Headband from Bangkok, Vintage top and scarf, Peace Love Fashion Pants, Forever 21 wedges

Guia Alvendia
Wore: Zara leather jacket, accessories from Hongkong, Forever 21, Aldo, Target tights, Parisian wedges/booties, dress from Eastwood

Wore: outfit from Forever 21

What I Wore:

November Finds

So far, November has been great in terms of finds. I was able to purchase some similar items I have seen in some magazines and websites. I have always loved the feeling of being able to find alternatives to items that are wayyy too expensive to some of our budgets. You'll be seeing a lot of that in this blog! Alternatives=LOVE

Now, I forgot to add on the first entry that my camera is broken, so I can't show you guys the alternatives I purchased. I compiled a collage of the similar items. I'll try my best to get a pic of the items!

1. Folded & Hung Studded Headband- Inspired by the Givenchy headband(picture above) This was such a steal! Now the item itself doesn't look exactly the same, but I definitely saw the similarities. This was such a great alternative to the original headband. You could actually use it as a bracelet too! I'll be sporting this on Thursday, since the look is Rocker Chic. Maybe the Christmas party too. Be ala Carrie Bradshaw meets Russel Brand. Thanks to my friend Mads for telling me about this!

2. Dexter Dark Brown Moccasins From Payless Shoes- I've always wanted a pair of mocs, the pair I have is very soft, and it really feels like I'm wearing marshmallows on my feet. Plus it brings out the inner Chuck Bass and Nicole Richie.

3. Double Studded Ring from Gold Dot- My friend Inna(thelittlebigspender) showed me this ring, and instantly I fell in love! Sadly a little accident happened to the ring, but it's nothing super glue can't fix.

4. Wrap Bracelet from Mia Casa- Another one of my favorite steals!!! An alternative to the Vita Fede Fasino Triple Wrap. A favorite of Halle Berry, Jessica Biel, Miley Cyrus and etc.

5. Vintage Tiger Necklace from Mia Casa- This accessory was inspired by Ke$ha. I have always had this fondness of vintage looking accessories. The likes of old gold has always made me happy. Another steal!!!

Note again, the picture above aren't the exact items I purchased. I found alternatives to them. :)

I hope to show you guys soon much more alternatives to items that are a tad bit out of reach! Now that the bazaars are coming, it's time to shop and search! You never know what you'll find!

Rafael

Magical
First entry! It has been such a long time since I last blogged. I think the last entry I have ever written was 2007 or 2008? I was using Multiply then. My last blog though, featured my life in high school, a little about fashion and love. Typical, I know. This blog though, I hope will be different. I pictured "Barefoot Prince" as a fashion blog, revolving around my style, trends, some of the finds I find during shopping trips, maybe touch on life sometimes and etc. The creation of this blog only happened two days ago. I dreamt of how it felt to blog again, and be able to express fashion in words seemed magical. So here I am writing my first entry to you guys.

Who/What is Barefoot Prince Charming?
Barefoot why? Actually Inspired by a Hannah Montana song. Call me kiddie? You don't need all the luxuries in life. It's the content and what you bring to the table that matters. I like looking at fashion not at price but how that one piece of clothing can make you feel fabulous. Prince Charming why? Well I'm young and I'd rather be referred to as a Prince than a King. I AM the prince of this blog after all. The "Charming" part? I added that to make it sound lovely. Now if your expecting a full blown, meticulously written blog... It's not. Sometimes you may not agree with me on what I write, but I can't please. You visiting this blog already means the world to me. This is my world. Here you will find a world of Fashion, Friends, Fairytales, Make Believe and everything in between. In this world/blog, everyone is royalty. I hope to see in this blog we spread the word love not the hate, unless you turn in to fashion road kill.
