Sequin at a Time

While writing this entry I am currently getting ready for the SoFA Christmas party. If you guys don't know every year SoFA has a Christmas party with a theme, and this year the chosen theme was 70s aka Disco. Upon reading/hearing about the theme, I immediately was trying to figure out what I wanted to wear. I didn't know if I wanted to be a hippie or a disco diva! haha I decided to mix both since I've always loved the style of hippies and being a diva. cheka. Just today I was able to find the main piece to my outfit, and of course it had to have sequins. Whats life with no glitter and sequins. Nicole and I decided to hit Forever 21 right after class and search for the perfect outfit, and we were definitely contented with our finds. I was able to snag this beautiful basic black blazer with electric blue sequin sleeves. I immediately grabbed it upon seeing it. There was also a powder pink one, but Nic told me to get the black one. It was such a good choice too since I could definitely use it more often than the pink one.

The blazer is actually from F21's Heritage 1981. I have always been a fan of H81, idk if its me but I like the fit of their clothes more than F21's. I also noticed the clothes from H81 has much more character.

Again, the sleeeeevessssssss.

The blazer is actually from their signature collection.

You can never have too many Party Headbands! Got this since, I'll be changing my gold knot headband to this when we head to Fiamma.

Model for Donatella

Last friday SoFA had its weekly Fashion Fridays, and I absolutely loved this last week's theme. Well obviously from the title of this entry, its pretty obvious.

FASHION FRIDAY: VIVID PRINTS

Upon seeing this, I immediately knew what my peg was from the H&M X Versace collection and what jacket I was gonna wear. 

My Peg: not River my bellas, but the jacket and the prints. Now I don't have shirts with palm trees plastered over it, but I do have a shirt that had the same amount of color and green on it. 

What I Wore: Applerust reversible bomber jacket, Forever 21 jeans, burger shirt, rosary necklace and Mundo at The Ramp espadrille flatforms

This jacket no doubt reminds me of Versace especially cause of the print. So proud I purchased this from my friend Peach. With this I no longer have to feel bad I won't be able to own a bomber with such a vivid print. As for the shirt I decided that the colors were so bright why not pair it up with the jacket. Is this Versace enough?

A pair of shoes I've been coveting the moment I saw them in Garage Magazine's October issue. I knew I had to contract The Ramp and reserve a pair! Not only are they comfortable, they add an extra inch to your height! I have been wearing them non-stop, and sometimes I'm afraid they'll get ruined! They actually remind me of creepers that were combined with a paid of espadrilles!

Some of my favorite pieces from this collection is definitely the bomber jacker(absolute favorite), the studded leather pants, the studded leather jacket, the palm tree shirt and OF COURSE the hot pink suit! I absolutely prefer the mens collection of the ladies. Not being biased, but honestly some of the pieces from the ladies collection gives me the hoochie vibe. No offense.

Dear Maria

A long overdue entry! This was back in september, where I got the chance to watch All Time Low live in Araneta! I have to admit I'm not too familiar with their songs, all I knew was Dear Maria and Remembering Sunday. I'll post photos from the concert soon(editing process), but for now I'll show you guys what I decided to wear. I opted to go for something comfortable and easier to jump/dance/go wild in.

Absolutely one of my favorite bags from my closet! Its not actually mine, but it was a hand me down from my mom. Its vintage, easy to use and it fits a TON of stuff!

Roll The Dice

Outfit post for you readers! Will keep this entry short, basically I wore this outfit to my first say of school last friday. I decided to go for something casual, but I should remind myself never to wear shorts in the campus. Why? Its FREEZING! I actually wanna take shots of the new campus for you guys, hopefully I'll be able to achieve that this week!

What I Wore: Forever 21 shorts, belt, chain harness, Vintage Gargoyles sunglasses from my lola(grandmother), Converse sneakers

My sunnies! Such a hit with my schoolmates! Happy to have a lola(grandmother) with such great taste in fashion!

School Uniform

Outfit post! I wore this last week to school, and I actually felt proud that I was able to wear something colorful. I've noticed I usually stick to blacks, whites, grays and denims. Its been my comfort zone and go to colors. This is actually the first time I've tried color-blocking, and hopefully it came out well! One things for sure though according to my friends, I looked completely different and I should try out more looks similar to this. I decided to name the title of this post School Uniform because of the colors I wore. I basically wore school colors and it became very ironic. La Salle green for the jacket, Ateneo blue for the shirt, UST for the shorts and SoFA pink for my bracelet! hahaha School pride lang! chekka.

An outfit post for you guys! This look, I wore to my school orientation. Both photos were taken by my dear friends. I wanted to go for something sophisticated yet fun. Sadly, it was sort of a rainy day that time. As usual, I used my favorite basic black blazer and moccasins, my two outfit savers. Never fail to morph a look into something more polished.

What I Wore: Thrifted black blazer, H&M Guns & Roses shirt, Forever 21 shorts, Payless moccasins, Jeremy Scott x Longchamp bag, bangles/bracelets from Forever 21 and Crossbone necklace from OS.

I finally got a pair Andre Chang x Folded & Hung combat boots!!! I've been dreaming of owning a pair since Philippine Fashion Week last october! The shoe is definitely a statement, though the size is quite big it still remains comfortable! My wish is that Andre Chang or Folded & Hung comes out with a full blown shoe line!!! Sometimes The Accessory Makes The Clothes

FINALLY! Finals are OVER, the term is OVER and now it's time for Christmas break!!! I've been waiting for this day since the term started. A lil bit dramatic noh? It's just Christmas is my favorite holiday. Well today went smoothly, had dinner with the family to celebrate Lolo and Lola's 50th at Greenbelt. Met up with Inna for a bit too! This entry will just be a mini outfit post!

This is what I wore to the last day of school and to dinner! I wanted to wear something simple, but add a little color and ACCESSORIES!

Now a celebration isn't complete with a treat. After dinner, I was planning to purchase a pair of espadrilles, but sadly they were out of stock. They're gonna replenish on the 25th. Instead my tita and I decided to check out Aranaz. I've been dying to get this bracelet from them from the RIIR(Rags to Riches) collaboration. I was already braising myself that it would be out of stock too, but just my luck there were only two left!!! Special special thanks to my tita for it!!! Here are some pics!!!

The bracelet to me is just such a statement piece because of it's color combination. Provides such ethnicity to it's design, that it turns into a stand out piece! It certainly can add a splash of color to an outfit! Plus it's for a really good cause too!

BTW! I was left in shock today, seeing that a JUICY COUTURE STORE HAS OPENED!!! MY LIFE IS COMPLETE! I'm a sucker for their merchandise!!! hahaha

Style Icon for A Day

Another late late late update!!! I've been soooo busy with school to the point I've been very inconsistent with my blogging. Sorry for that, but I'm quite happy since Christmas is on the way and FINALS ARE FINALLY DONE! Well sort of I just gotta submit my project for FILLUS 1. On this entry I'll be blogging about last week's Fashion Thursday. The theme was Manila Fashion Icons, so it was really exciting!!! Now I was suppose to be Raymond Gutierrez, cause we wanted to be the Preview team. I decided to go the other way and come as my real style icon Carlos Concepcion. I had my whole look figured out the day before!

Only 9 more days till Christmas and a wish list never hurts!!!

1. Forever 21 Gift Certificates- Actually anything from F21 would be great!!! I have this thing every Christmas where you gotta shop for a 2011 wardrobe, New Year means new clothes!!! Accessories, shoes, and everything in between!

2. Gossip Girl Season 3 box set- This would be perfect for a lazy day, nothing better than some Chai and some Blair and Chuck. A mus for this coming break!!!

3. Combat Boots- Any brand would do, but I would die for a new pair!!!

4. Mulberry 'Alexa' Bag- A DREAM COME TRUE!!! I actually wanna star investing in one, but that might be hopeless with my habits. I'm planning to find an alternative instead!!! A satchel would be just fine!!!

5. Style A to Zoe by Rachel Zoe- I DIE! I have been on a Rachel Zoe craze! A definite must for another lazy day! I've gotta get this to add to my collection of books! Hoping to read this and continue with Lauren Conrad style!!! Chai would also be a great addition again!

6. Cannibal Album by Ke$ha- It's just a MUST!!!

7. More Skinnies- My favorite cut of jeans! I swear, I can NEVER have too many pair of jeans!!! A new set would be "buh-na-nas" for next year!!!

8. Fur Vest- I have been dreaming for the longest time to own something of pure fur. Faux of course!!! Another must for next year of course!!!

9. A Panther Ring- Just like Rachel Zoe! I have an Owl, but it's as fierce as a panther of course! Actually aside from this I'd love for more accessories! They are the key to an outfit sometimes. ;)
